A graduate of the Lille School of Journalism (Masters in Media Management), Nicolas Négoce, is a French journalist specialising in African Affairs. He has been working with various national outlets and international media houses such as BBC News, Vox Africa, CGTN Africa, BFM TV.
Originally from the archipelago of Guadeloupe, Nicolas lived in four different African countries between 2010 and 2017. He produced reports in total in twenty countries on the continent. Nicolas also worked six years in London including three years at the BBC headquarters part of the Africa hub.
He presented more than 200 live French TV news, and delivered live political analysis in French and English. He has interviewed several heads of state including the Ivorian Alassane Ouattara, the Congolese Felix Tshisekedi, the Gabonese Ali Bongo, and Mohamed Bazoum, the president of Niger. Nicolas is currently based in Dakar working for the BBC World Service as one of the two Francophone West Africa Correspondents.
Nicolas has also moderated several international conferences and events such as the Salon du Pagne au Congo in 2018, the WRLDCTY 2020 or the Fragility forum in 2022. He is the founder of NéMaNi Medias, an agency specialised in the production of audiovisual content, communication, public relations and the organisation of prospection trips and promotional trips in Africa and the French Caribbean.
